Bob Weist, Sue Gram (Harmon), Sue Lindstrom (Gilbert)On December 13 six of the 50th Reunion Committee met at the Starbuck's community room in Rocky River to advance plans for the Reunion Weekend (August 24-26, 2012). Although commitments have been made for the informal gathering on Friday night (at the Copper Cup on Dover Center Rd in Westlake) and Saturday night (at Westwood Country Club in Rocky River), ideas were discussed for other possible weekend activities as well as assignments of Committee coodinators for each activity. Under consideration are a golf outing (likely on Friday), a tour of RRHS (currrently under construction to create expanded science, music and art facilities), a narrated trolley tour of downtown Cleveland and, perhaps, Rocky River on "Lolly the Trolley", a Saturday lunch option at Bearden's (now reopened after a short closing and change of ownership), a Sunday brunch and, if a home game is on the schedule, a Sunday Indians' game group. Also discussed was a plan to send a date reminder and questionnaire to gauge interest in these activities to all classmates by regular mail (sometime mid-January is targeted) and with an online survey. Attending the meeting were Anita Brothers (Marshall), Gay Carlisle (Buckles), Sue Gram (Harmon), Bob Weist, Sue Lindstrom (Gilbert) and Tom Stafford. Other members unable to attend this meeting include Pete Gandola and Janeen Russell (McClure). Also several classmates have indicated willingness to assist but due to other commitments and, for some, lots of time over the next few months being spent away from the Cleveland area, include Ross Carson, Judy Roach (Stevens), Sue Hubbard (Curtis), Pat Stevens (Robertson) and Tom Williams.
